Trainings and Support Groups
At Spero Counseling Center, we work to support the family as a whole. We provide trainings by highly educated and certified therapists. We also facilitate support groups that can provide connection and education for different members of the family as they navigate lifes ups and downs.
Parenting Support Group
This support group is for parents who are fostering or have adopted children who exhibit big behaviors or have been diagnosed with RAD, DMDD, IED, or ODD. Providing a safe place and connecting parents as they go through the ups and downs of parenting children who come from hard places.

Parenting Children with ADHD
This training is led by Frankie Crawford, LCSW, who is certified in adoption competent counseling. This training will give you a higher understanding of ADHD, its symptoms, neuropsychological aspects, and interventions.

Parenting With Respect
This training is led by Dr. Meg Roetto, who has years of experience educating and supporting parents who want some new ways to connect and provide lifelong skills when feeling overwhelmed or dysregulated.

Supervision for LCSW and LMFT
Dr. Roetto is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She is passionate about guiding new therapists as they pursue their clinical licenses, emphasizing systemic theory, ethics, values, and trauma stewardship. Training Opportunities
Dr. Roetto offers training for agencies involved with the foster and adoption community, focusing on the unique and traumatic effects of ambiguous loss. Additionally, training sessions are available for clinicians looking to enhance their skills in working with either the foster/adoption population or the concept of ambiguous loss.
