About Your Care
Our team strives always to provide a safe place for individuals and families to find healing and hope through life's ups and downs. This safe space begins with your relationship with your therapist and is foundational to the healing process. Our therapists pursue the highest levels of education and training to offer our clients the most competent care.
We look forward to meeting you and walking through this journey with you.
Dr. Meg Roetto- DMFT, LCSW
Director
I am passionate about walking alongside families and individuals as they work through trauma, grief and loss, family transitions, parenting struggles, and other difficulties in their lives. I have extensive training in grief and loss, family therapy, trauma, attachment, and play therapy. I have completed a National Adoption Mental Health Training. I also research ambiguous loss theory to improve my client's lives and the field as a whole.
I work with all ages through many difficulties. We all deserve a safe place to be heard and work through our own journey of life. I especially love walking alongside those who have been affected by foster care and adoption.

Frankie Crawford- LCSW
Assistant Director
Life is full of challenging times and transitions, and I understand how vital compassion and support can be when struggling through these challenges. I have spent time working with foster, adopted, and troubled youth in residential treatment, rehousing programs, and case management. I am passionate about enhancing healthy coping, communication, and attachment skills while fostering a safe environment for individuals and families to process grief, trauma, loss, and day to day struggles. I work with all ages but especially love helping children and youth affected by foster care and adoption.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and actively working on training to become a credentialed Play therapist under a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I am nationally certified in adoption competent counseling and specifically focus on grief and ambiguous loss, trauma, attachment, and play therapy to help you through your unique situations.

Sydney Vandegrift- LCSW
I am passionate about working with people and providing services that bring clarity and healing to their lives. I have experience working with individuals affected by human trafficking and substance use, as well as individuals impacted by foster care and adoption.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused therapeutic approaches when working with individuals. I believe people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are closely linked. I utilize these approaches to bring about awareness while also discussing potential solutions to problems. I will partner with you, challenge you, and support you through this exploration and healing process.
I understand reaching out and beginning this process is intimidating; but I am here to walk through this journey with you.

Each of us has a story filled with moments of celebration, loss, and many other twists and turns. The beauty of our stories is that they all look different, and each deserves to be heard. Oftentimes, we find ourselves alone and not knowing where to go next. One of my biggest passions is to walk alongside people and help them find their next step that offers positive change. My desire is to help people experience healing in a way that is unique to them. I encourage everyone to come as they are as I foster an environment that offers compassion and acceptance.
As a trauma-informed marriage and family therapist, I have worked with complex trauma survivors, including adults, children, and families alike. I also have experience working with grief and loss, guilt and shame, depression, anxiety, attachment ruptures, parenting challenges, and life transitions. I enjoy working with all ages.
My work also focuses on seeing people as individuals who have been greatly affected by the people and environment around them. I wish to empower people to take ownership of their story while we work together to find new paths of healing. I am under the supervision of Spero's director, Dr. Meg Roetto, DMFT, LCSW.

Jenni Schmidt- LMSW
My heartfelt desire is to offer hope and encouragement to individuals, couples, and families through therapy. I believe that change and healing is possible for anyone who is equipped with the necessary tools and utilizes them to improve themselves. I am passionate about helping people tap into their potential to reach their goals. I work with individuals aged 7 years through adulthood. I also enjoy helping couples and families improve connections, enhance communication, and foster positive change.
My focus is finding links between what my clients are working through in the present and their unique life experiences to help them gain personal strength and hope from those insights. My therapeutic methodology is based in CBT, EFT, ACT, DBT, narrative therapy, and aspects of attachment theory. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker pursuing clinical licensure under the expert supervision of Dr. Meghan Roetto, DMFT, LCSW.

Life brings both beauty and inevitable adjustments. Therapy is a place to slow down, make sense of those changes, and move forward with intention. I approach my work with clarity, compassion, and a strong belief in each client’s capacity for growth.
I work with children ages 10 and up, adolescents, and adults, supporting clients through relationship concerns, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. I have experience working with individuals and families to build stability, insight, and effective coping strategies.
I also have a clinical interest in sex therapy, particularly in addressing sexual shame, pornography addiction, identity concerns, intimacy challenges, compulsive sexual behaviors and sexual compulsions, orgasmic disorders, and sexual desire concerns.
My work in this area is thoughtful, structured, and nonjudgmental, with an emphasis on restoring confidence, connection, and healthy self-understanding.
My therapeutic style is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I emphasize the mind–body connection, helping clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact—and how change becomes possible when those systems are addressed together.
I am collaborative, direct, and attuned. Clients often describe feeling both supported and appropriately challenged. My goal is to provide therapy that is effective, grounded, and tailored—so clients leave sessions with greater clarity, confidence, and direction. I am a provisionally licensed professional counselor under the supervision of John Opalka, LPC and Dr. Meg Roetto, DMFT, LCSW.
